The textbooks I use for my various science classes are excellent, SECULAR (Non-Christian) resources providing some of the finest overviews of "operational/observational" biological science available today. However, being SECULAR (Non-Christian) textbooks, their presentation of "historical/origins" science presents an atheistic, macroevolutionary worldview. This is actually good, since it allows our students the opportunity to exercise logikos, critical thinking while evaluating the evidence for a macroevolutionary vs. a creation worldview of life origins. To facilitate this critical thinking, we integrate research from world renowned scientists that are also courageously biblical, Christian/Creationists standing against censorship and peer-pressure persecution to speak the truth about our Creator and His Good Shepherd character.  They include:

Unit 7 - S.I. Metric Math for Life Science

STUDENTS, the two main languages of science are LOGIC & MATH.
Science is the study of the physical world, using logic and mathematics.
The LAWS of logic, math, and science are not something we created.
They were built into the universe and we merely discovered them.
They are non-physical realities that exist independent of the physical world.
These non-physical LAWS came from a non-physical LAW-MAKER, GOD.
They are non-physical information from the intelligence of God that guide the formation and function of all physical interactions of both living and non-living things in CREATION.
Remember that the Bible calls JESUS, the LOGOS, who created all things. The term LOGOS means logical information, INFO. It is often translated as WORD. God's Word spoke into existence all things, and is guiding all things to the end of history (His-story).
Since He is the LAW-MAKER, the JUDGE, the END of history will be JUDGMENT. GOOD NEWS, CHRIST our Logos Creator is a perfectly GOOD SHEPHERD who loves you and did all that is necessary for the sins that separate you from Him to be forgiven and transformed into His image and character.
- He LIVED the perfect life of unselfish love that you cannot live.
- He DIED on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin which is separation from God the Father of Life.
- He ROSE from death to prove who He is, the I AM (YHWH) Creator, the author and designer of life eternal.
Only by accepting what He did for you and submitting to Him as your LORD, BOSS, can you be worthy to enter into His pure and perfect Kingdom to come, the New Heavens and New Earth. You cannot make yourself good ENOUGH, no matter how hard you try. Only Christ the Good Shepherd Creator can make you a NEW CREATION with His CHARACTER/IMAGE.

NEPHESH ANIMAL PROJECT

* This FUN project will unfold over the next few weeks as we learn about God's amazing animals. The final project will not be due for weeks, but parts of it will be due at different times during this period. I'll let you know the dates, details, and specific requirements for each part in plenty of time.
* The project will let you use your creative abilities through powerpoint/keynote, iMovie, or other apps.
* You overall goal will be to become an expert about your favorite animal so that you could actually teach others about it.
DON'T WORRY - YOU WON'T PRESENT TO THE CLASS

Simply begin by doing the following research:

- THINK about your favorite animal groups:
(worms, crawfish, crabs, fish, octopus, insects, spiders, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, ……???, etc.)
- DECIDE which TYPE is your favorite in that GROUP.
- SEARCH Google for info and pics on your favorite group, and try to decide which particular species is your top favorite
- SAVE a few photos of it
- GATHER some basic info about it like: physical characteristics, diet, habitat, reproduction and raising of young, NEPHESH ability to think and feel compared to other animals, compared to humans, etc. . . .
- ANYTHING ELSE FASCINATING YOU FIND

GRADED ASSIGNMENTS:

-In this second part of your animal project, you will CREATE either:
a. a BROCHURE about your animal (six panel)

b. a PRESENTATION using Power Point, or Prezi, or Google Slides
(at least 5 slides)

- RELAX and don't worry about format.
- I am NOT an English or Technology teacher, so all I want to see is that you created a presentation of your animal the way YOU want it to look. So be CREATIVE and enjoy creating, just like God did when He designed your animal.
