The textbooks I have used for my various science classes are excellent, SECULAR (Non-Christian) resources providing some of the finest overviews of "operational/observational" biological science available today. However, being SECULAR (Non-Christian) textbooks, their presentation of "historical/origins" science presents an atheistic, macroevolutionary worldview. This is actually good, since it allows our students the opportunity to exercise logikos, critical thinking while evaluating the evidence for a macroevolutionary vs. a creation worldview of life origins. To facilitate this critical thinking, we integrate research from world renowned scientists that are also courageously biblical, Christian/Creationists standing against censorship and peer-pressure persecution to speak the truth about our Creator and His Good Shepherd character.  They include:

Welcome to Mr. Galloway's
Bio-Logic Life Science Class


* For most students the first week of school is like a flood of new information, new schedules, and new tasks (especially trying to get iPads and programs set up and running properly. So, relax and don't worry, because we will start slowly and give you plenty of time the first week to get things together and your mind settled :-)
* Also, since many students do not have iPads yet, we will be using mostly paper copies of documents the first couple of weeks.

** TIPS to study for my quizzes/tests:

1. It's ALSO wise to Download notes and guides to your iPad and your home PC.
- You can also print them into paper copies at HOME if that helps.
2. For Mr. Galloway's notes, study guides, articles, etc.
READ through
them thoroughly a couple of times.
* To find answers to a specific term/concept/diagram:
- Open on your computer the CHAPTER NOTES for that unit.
- When the correct Chapter Notes are OPEN on your PC or iPad,
use the FIND command to locate each time a term is used in those notes.
- Then you can COPY/PASTE the info you need from the notes to your own guide.

** Jesus is the last Adam (Rom 5). If evolution is true then humans came from ape-men, not a literal Adam. That would mean that there was millions of years of violent survival of the fittest, suffering and death BEFORE humans existed. That would also mean that God designed the process of violent survival of the fittest, suffering and death to create all creatures and humans. This is not a little, minor issue. If there was no literal first human - Adam - who sinned and caused the first separation from God and the suffering and death, then Jesus - the last Adam - died for nothing. The good news is that we did not evolve and there was a literal Adam created by God. Suffering and death of animals and humans did not begin until AFTER Adam sinned, causing separation from God.

Most people are ignorant about the evidence and do not even know how to find it.  So please pray for my effort on that day.

- So you do not have to spend a lot of time preparing. 
- Instructions for the number of pages, format, etc., that your letter must be will be given out the day of the test.

STUDENTS, the two main languages of science are LOGIC & MATH.
Science is the study of the physical world, using logic and mathematics.
The LAWS of logic, math, and science are not something we created.
They were built into the universe and we merely discovered them.
They are non-physical realities that exist independent of the physical world.
These non-physical LAWS came from a non-physical LAW-MAKER, GOD.
They are non-physical information from the intelligence of God that guide the formation and function of all physical interactions of both living and non-living things in CREATION.
Remember that the Bible calls JESUS, the LOGOS, who created all things. The term LOGOS means logical information, INFO. It is often translated as WORD. God's Word spoke into existence all things, and is guiding all things to the end of history (His-story).
Since He is the LAW-MAKER, the JUDGE, the END of history will be JUDGMENT. GOOD NEWS, CHRIST our Logos Creator is a perfectly GOOD SHEPHERD who loves you and did all that is necessary for the sins that separate you from Him to be forgiven and transformed into His image and character.
- He LIVED the perfect life of unselfish love that you cannot live.
- He DIED on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin which is separation from God the Father of Life.
- He ROSE from death to prove who He is, the I AM (YHWH) Creator, the author and designer of life eternal.
Only by accepting what He did for you and submitting to Him as your LORD, BOSS, can you be worthy to enter into His pure and perfect Kingdom to come, the New Heavens and New Earth. You cannot make yourself good ENOUGH, no matter how hard you try. Only Christ the Good Shepherd Creator can make you a NEW CREATION with His CHARACTER/IMAGE.

The little quiz we will have at the end of this week is on the introduction to the Metric System of measurement.
Many of the students have had no exposure to the metric system until this year.
So we are beginning slowly to ensure that we lay down a strong foundation for future use of science math.

The QUIZ this week will only cover the following:
1. The abbreviation SI = System International

2. Why the metric SI is important
- because it allows scientists around the world to read, understand, and communicate with each other about research and calculations.
* MOST importantly so that they can try to PROVE each others theories WRONG. That is the heart of REAL SCIENCE!!!! That way, what ever theories cannot be proven wrong, are more likely to be TRUTH. This is called FALSIFYING incorrect hypotheses, theories, and laws.

3. The fact that the metric SI is all based on multiples of 10, which makes it easier to use than our English system.

4. The center or BASE UNITS of measurement
- Length = Meter = m
- Mass = Gram = g
- Volume = Liter = l
- Time = Second = s
- Temperature = Celsius = c

5. The PREFIXES, their abbreviations, and the amounts or quantities they represent
- kilo = k = 1,000
- hecto = h = 100
- deca = da = 10
- deci = d = .1 = one tenth
- centi = h = .01 = one hundreth
- milli = m = .001 = on thousandth

So for the QUIZ this week Practice memorizing these terms, prefixes, abbreviations, and quantities.
We will go over them in class this week and review a lot even the day of the quiz before you take it.

SPIRITUAL ANALOGY & APPLICATION- Elodea's common name is "Anacharis" which come from the Greek language and means:
"increased GRACE or GIFT (CHARIS)".
- Our Creator God designed (gave us as a gift) plants for many reasons:
* to eat and enjoy as His natural candy (fruit),
* to make clothing,
* to make homes out of wood,
** and especially to continually provide life-giving OXYGEN to his nephesh (thinking/feeling) creatures.
- Similarly, God has given us His Holy Spirit (the Greek word for spirit is pneuma, which also means air or wind or breath).
* His Holy SPIRIT is the life-giving source for new birth spiritually when a person is "born-again".
* So, without the new, SPIRITUAL, second BIRTH, no person can have eternal life (John 3)
- The choice is yours to trust and submit to (or to reject) the pure work that God did for you through Jesus.
* Jesus lived a sinless human life to earn your human right to go to heaven (the new creation).
* Jesus died (allowed sinful men to kill him) to pay the consequences we deserve for our sin.
* Jesus then rose from death as He promised to prove who He truly is and to offer His Spirit to us.
**** None of our SELF-infected "good" works are of any value to earn or buy His pure eternal life.

Even dragonflies go through metamorphosis, and always have!!
The pic below is of a dragonfly fossil supposedly from over 70 million years that is just like modern live dragonflies. Such examples of "living fossils" are found representing almost every major animal body plan.
No transitional stages and no major changes, so this shows that:
- macroevolution does not happen
- these fossils were formed as a result of the global flood of Noah's time period only about 4,300 years ago.
